Tai Tat Dei?

From Sheung Wan waterfront to the land of maples.
Tai Tat Dei originally referred to Hong Kong's grassroots night bazaar in Sheung Wan — where ordinary people found food, fun, and friendship. We borrow the name to honour those lively, equal days.
In the 1950s and 60s, the original Tai Tat Dei was one of Hong Kong's most vibrant places. Daytime metalwork, nighttime stalls — storytellers, fortune tellers, opera singers, medicine sellers, steaming cheung fun — voices, lights, and street life in full swing.
Today the old bazaars are gone, buried under skyscrapers. We recreate the scene in Canada not only for nostalgia, but to bring the spirit of accessibility, sharing, and inclusion to a new generation of Chinese Canadians and local friends.
Each market welcomes 45 to 50+ Hong Kong vendors, artisans, artists, and performers. Expect busking, Cantonese DJ parties, lantern photo zones, free game booths, nostalgic newspaper-style portraits, and lucky draws — one night to relive an entire era.
